inpromptu photoshop

I just don’t know what got into me the other day… more accurately a couple of days ago. Initially, I was planning to do a general editing to some photos that we took on the day sometime the week before at the Livingstone’s residence – as usual. As I was editing this picture:

I had a thought of changing the colour of her cardigan right there. Well, it is not that I do not like that cardigan… it’s just that my hands are itching to try on doing something that I had just picked of a couple of days ago while at work. I think a lot of you out there who are the real pros of photoshop users would sure have the knowledge about this… it’s the colour replacer tool that I had been toying with ever since I got to know the use of it. So, the next picture tells you all.

Personally, I think the rich royal blue colour brings out the warmth of her skin tone.

The purple hue of her cardigan sort of faded her complexion to a pale mode. Or… it could be my work too.. hehehe, having edited a little on the face. (That’s what I want to master cos I will be the one using most of the time!) *sneaky grin*

Then, Paul decided that he wanted to make the background blank. Total blankness. So, off he went ahead and did it. But I later did something else to it.

Yep, I changed the colour of the sofa this pretty dear is leaning unto.

Then.. this crazy idea came strucking the nanomakia.com authors. We wanted to try to see if we could photoshop a nice background to go with this lovely face.

We tried. Multiple times.

We wanted to find the right background to go with this picture so that it looks presentable.

I ended up using one of Vista’s background picture. Edited the lighting on that particular background chosen (well… we were still under the testing and constructing mode for the so-called perfect background for our little inpromptu photoshop project.)

Paul taught me how to paste from one picture into the other picture.

And, here it is:

Hmm, the background seems a little big… a little overpowering… (that’s what my mind was thinking). I want to make my cute friend more of the attention rather than that jellyfish back there.

So, I cropped this picture to make it sort of more picturesque to my own liking…

Of course, naturally I added the nanomakia.com unto the picture.

This is how the picture now looks like.

It was actually considered done. But, vanity came creeping into my mind telling me to achieve more so that my friend would look more like a commercial model.

*I seriously thought that I should just go for a fashion magazine editor position. Oh, no! A Wilhelmina-wannabe!*

I did a little more tweaking to her already lovely features, to help ooze more attraction… hehehe. Now that is what I really would love to master so that I can do tweakings on stupid acnes and pimples and wrinkles and fine lines and adding that extra colour and lashes without having the need to have a professional make-up artist 24 hours by our side. I know… this is what we call vanity.. but I think it is also a source of motivation. A positive one! Muahahaha!!!

Anyways, here is the final look of the impromptu nanomakia.com photoshop little project.

Please don’t critique us too badly… we are NOT photoshop professionals.

We gave our best and this is it.

;)

*nanomakia.com would like to express their gratitude to our wonderful friend here who gave us her permission to let us post this up. :) hugs*

Above is a Nikon lens which has a Tilt/Shift Mechanism. These types of lenses are used to control perspectives. I was just browsing some blogs and I came across a post which showed that post processing can be used to create somewhat of a tilt/shift effect. So I decided to try it out… my results are not as good as expected… but hey… it’s just for fun. For peopleĀ  like me who cannot afford such a lens, the closest I can get is by using some post-processing.

I thought I might just post some closeup of some of the pictures above, it somehow give the feelings of scaled model:

This is the original photo.

This is after the glow difussion effect. I think it somehow achieved the dreamy soft light mode, just like the chinese mini novels’ covers would have. Hmm..

It looks kind of powdery. One thing I noticed it that the second picture somehow lost its sky blue tint. Less attrative than the first picture, but still to achieve something I guess we had to sacrifice some of the details in photo-editing.
