One of the attractions we visited on the trip to Prince Edward Island. Here are some photos to share. It looks really impressive inside.

Mei’s Chinese Restaurant

74 Regent Street
Fredericton, NB E3B 3W4

What do you do when you miss food from home? Feeling like eating something hot and spicy for the winter? Really miss Chinese food? If you are in Fredericton, drop by Mei’s Chinese Restaurant and feel the quality of the food. I was really surprised and really liked the food so much that I went there multiple times already. Service is very good… they give good recommendations and care about the quality. The food was really really good… we like our food spicy… from the pictures you can see the redness of the food… but you can also order a milder variation if you prefer it not hot. They can cater for your specific needs… we even changed some of the ingredients in one or two of the dishes. The tea is really good too… especially the Chrysanthemum tea… feels refreshing and nice. It is also located in downtown Fredericton which is easy to reach and the price is good and reasonable. The only complaint I have is the environment could be improved… but no big deal… main thing is the food… great food. I recommend this place for having a meal with friends or family.

Last Fall 2009, Adeline and Miles drove me and Marie up to PEI for the long weekend. It was the first time for Adeline, Marie and me going to PEI. PEI is very famous as the birthplace of the Canadian Confederation, Anne of Green Gables… and Lobsters… hahaha. We went to the Tourism Kiosk and ask them for recommendations for Lobsters… one of our criteria was good lobster at reasonable price. The kind gentleman recommended us to the Water-Prince Corner Shop just nearby. We walked over as soon as possible as our stomachs were calling.

Upon arrival we were greeted by a kind lady… friendly and nice. She made us feel good. One thing that really fascinated me was the environment… there were license plates from all around North America and even from some parts of the world. Certainly looked amazing. The place was small but nice and cozy.

Then comes the food… fresh is certainly one of the main attractions here… you can almost smell the sea… hahaha… We started off with some bread… nice and soft. Then came the main dishes. Marie had the lobster which included the starter salad and mussels… it really felt so worth the price. It was her first time eating a full lobster, it was truly a great experience indeed. Adeline had the oysters… looks great and smells good… super fresh. So was the scallops ordered by Miles… FRESH was the key. I ordered a traditional fish and chips… as I don’t know much about seafood… that was the best way for me to go… haha. The smell of the food was tantalizing with some zesty lemon.

Overall, we were very satisfied and ready for our trip around PEI.The service was excellent and so was the food and environment. It is highly recommended to dine here if you ever visit Prince Edward Island.
