Hi everyone. Let’s introduce the new writer of nanomakia.com…. *drum rolls* Becca! Just helping bro to update his half-dead blog. Had a wonderful Sunday afternoon decorating cupcakes. That was my first time doing that… and definitely won’t be my last time. More to come in the future. There are so many ways you can decorate your cakes… with lollies, candies, cookies, chocolates and even ribbons but make sure you only eat the edible ones and not get yourself choked. *evil grin*

Gentle waves against the rock @ Peggy’s Cove

Waves are certainly one of the forces of nature that is really fascinating to me. We always wonder from which point of the waters did it come from… was it caused by a boat? a small tremor under the sea? or just ocean currents? Some times we can just sit beside the sea and watch the waves hitting the shores… mesmerized by the splashes of water. Funny thing… I was shooting a short video of the waves in the same position as the picture shown… the waves were pretty strong with good splashes… strong effects. It was as if the waves were acting strong for the video clip. As I stop recording the video and was thinking of taking a photo instead… the waves suddenly calmed down. I waited and waited… no signs of the waves getting stronger… at the end I just gave up and shot some pictures of calmer looking waves. Click on the picture for a bigger view

Peggy’s Cove @ Nova Scotia

A group of us had a short trip to Halifax, Nova Scotia just to relax and enjoy the long weekend. On the very last day of our trip, Mick suggested that we go to Peggy’s Cove, he showed us a brochure… it says in there that Peggy’s Cove is a photographer’s paradise. Surely enough, once we were there… lots of people around carrying big and small cameras. Surely a spectacular view with the huge rocks all around and the blue seas right in front. The lighthouse looks awesome in this setting. Here is a little photo to share… a circular polarizer helps quite a bit here Click the picture for a bigger view.

I was busy working on my stuffs at work when out of the blue Paul sent me a message via MSN. Yes, I stated out of the blue because that is how rarely he would be the first to initiate an online conversation with me.

Paul says:

do you remember waking up middle of sleep and scolding me, “Why turn on the fan if you are not gonna face it to us?”

marie says:

dun have.
you dreaming ha?

Paul says:

I am not… I got so shocked…
cause usually we place the fan so that it does not directly go to us…
at an angle to wards the door… perpendicular to us…

marie says:

dun hav.

Paul says:

then suddenly last nite you wake up… scold me… turn off the fan… walk to washroom.

marie says:

then what else i say leh?

Paul says:

then you angrily moved the fan facing us and grumpy and went back to sleep

marie says:

did you try to wake me up?

Paul says:

nope.
you just woke up and screaming so hot and scolded me.
you even turn off the fan before you walked to the washroom.

marie says:

siao a.
if hot liao why would i turn off the fan?

Paul says:

cause you said I face the fan the wrong way…
might as well turn it off.
you were pretty pissed off.
me almost half got heart attack… I was already coughing to death… and suddenly got scolded.

marie says:

hahhahahhha..
so funny

Paul says:

you lar.
so scary oh…
I just kept quiet as you rampaged through
like gozilla

marie says:

hahahhaha
why you din tahanme leh?
hahahha
i laugh till kiu kiin liao.

Paul says:

dunno leh… just scared loh…

no leh… really like you are someone else ah…
cause you usually ask me to place the fan perpendicular to us before sleeping…
then suddenly got bombarded by doing it your way

marie says:

and just to prove your point… you even went to the extent to turn it off.
I had to quiet turn it on while you went to washroom./
when you came back… you stomp to the fan and move it in a rough manner facing us.
then you jump to my side…
when I go washroom and come back… you went back to your side.

marie says:

hahahahaha

Paul says:

left me speechless and hiding for entire night

marie says:

hiding?
where did you hide?

Paul says:

I hide my face in the long pillow lah.

marie says:

hahahhaha
HAHAHHAHAHAHA!!!

For your information, the long pillow is like a bolster. My pillow is the memory foam one. Paul’s using the long pillow. Now, can you imagine when he said that he hid from me? He was just burying his poor face into the pillow…

Initially I thought the answer would be something like the closet or something… but, long pillow? That was really unexpected. Totally. Yes, I am still at work typing these all out. Cos I had to rest from my work because of the serious case of bad stitches that I had from the result of laughing to hard alone in the room, reading from what Paul said. So, now that I am done with this post I can now safely resume my work. Good day!

Visiting Fundy Trail Part 3 Rocks by the Seaside

Walking by the sea always feels so good… when the seas are calm. The fog or mist far away, kind of makes you feel relieved and relaxed… though the rain is not far away. Ocean breeze with waves constantly moving in and the tide rising adds to the feeling. It certainly was pretty fun walking around the seaside… only issue is the big rocks are a bit hard to walk on… need to be a bit more careful. Click on the picture for a bigger view.

Visiting Fundy Trail Part 2 Hanging Bridge

It was fun to walk across but I am still kind off paranoid walking across a bridge suspended in thin air by a bunch of cables and wooden planks as the path to walk on. I was really a little bit scared that I may be too heavy and the planks may break… haha. So when I cross… I made sure that my one feet was at least on the surface of 2 planks… hahaha… talk about paranoid. Here is the picture to share… click for a bigger view.

Visiting Fundy Trail Part 1 Waterfall

We had a great trip today to Fundy Trail. Though it was drizzling for quite a bit… it was great that we still manage to walk around a few spots on the trail without getting drenched. The fog surrounding the place makes it look so nice and mysterious. This photo is part 1 of the trail pictures. Check back for more.

Slow Day @ Downtown Fredericton

Downtown Fredericton is usually pretty quiet late evenings… this photo was taken around 9.30PM. Sun is just about to set. Uptown Fredericton is usually where people go to after office hours. In Summer time, the sun sets pretty late… sometimes up to 10 or 11pm and rises early in the morning. Need to enjoy the sunlight before Fall and Winter comes again which can be pretty soon. Happy Canada Day 2010 @ Fredericton

July 1st, Canada Day 2010 celebration in Fredericton. The weather was pretty good for half of the day though rain came about a few times around. During the showing of the fireworks, rain was around as well. We only got to observe the fireworks for a few minutes as we had to walk up hill to have a look, we were too lazy to walk downtown in the rain. The celebrations this year were a little bit simpler as there was no parade. Wishing everyone a Happy Canada Day.
